Do you know what sustainable cooking is?

It may sound grand and complicated, but sustainable cooking is easier than you think. It’s mainly about being conscious of what ends up on your plate and how you approach cooking.

A few examples:

  • Choose seasonal produce – seasonal fruit and vegetables are often fresher, tastier and more sustainable.
  • Go local and fair – this way you support local producers and reduce transport kilometres.
  • Prevent food waste – cook creatively with leftovers, freeze leftover portions and plan smartly.
  • Discover plant-based alternatives – a day without meat or fish can be surprisingly tasty.
  • Quality over quantity – it’s better to have one good piece of cheese, bread or meat than too much of lesser quality.

These small choices make a big difference, without compromising on taste or experience. In fact, they often make your cooking experience richer and more creative!

At Eat2Gather, we are happy to introduce you to sustainable cuisine. Our chefs will show you how to cook sustainably and tastily using simple, creative techniques. If you would like to know more about our sustainable cooking workshops, outings and events, please contact us.
