15 Feb Jasmine tea
What is it? Jasmine tea is the combination of tea leaves with jasmine blossoms or buds. It is mixed in black, white and green tea, but green tea with jasmine is by far the most popular. During production, the tea is dried, along with the fresh flowers. These are changed daily—up to seven times, for the most exclusive and jasmine-scented tea.
Tip! Jasmine green tea helps you lose weight. The green tea leaves, among other things, ensure that your metabolism accelerates, even when you are at rest! With a faster metabolism, nutrients are broken down faster, making it easier for you to lose weight. The jasmine is naturally slightly sweet, so no extra sweetener is needed.
Food fact: End a romantic dinner with a cup of jasmine tea. The dried flower is said to be a strong aphrodisiac.
Recipe: With some jasmine teas, the petals are rolled into the tea leaves during drying. You get very cute tea balls: when you put them in the water, they slowly separate from each other. So use a transparent teapot to watch this process, because it looks magical!
